Welcome to the Gladstone | UCSF Center for Cell Circuitry
Our Research
We study the complex systems that govern cell fate decisions. This research has the potential to disrupt the circuits of viruses and cancers, ultimately curing many diseases.
GC3 Seminars
The GC3 Seminar Series brings eminent scientists from around the world to Gladstone | UCSF to share their biomedical research and inspire further innovation within the field.

The Gladstone Center for Cell Circuitry is a group of biomedical researchers from the J. David Gladstone Institutes and UCSF committed to understanding and mapping complex cell circuits that govern cell fate decisions. Ultimately, the center seeks to control these circuits through therapeutic targeting in cellular reprogramming, neuroscience, cancer, and infectious disease.

Areas of Focus

  • Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)
  • Cytomegalovirus (CMV)
  • Herpes simplex virus (HSV-1)
  • Novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19)
